The TW type Boer anchor is a high-grip rodless anchor and an improved version of the Boer series of anchors. "TW" usually refers to the bidirectional claw or double anchor claw, that is, the double-wing anchor claw design, emphasizing the ability to maintain stability and efficient grasping force under different force directions.
It is further optimized on the basis of high-grip anchors such as the N-type Bower anchor and the AC-14 anchor, and has been approved by the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) as a high-grip anchor. It is widely used in large merchant ships and offshore engineering vessels.
